At 'Palace in the Sky' - image of Our Lady of Fair Love

This is a pic of a copy of Our Lady of Fair Love in Tagaytay at a place called the 'Palace in the Sky'. The place is called as such, because Imelda Marcos - in her extravagance - wanted to have this 'palace' built for her on this mountain. I was amazed to have stumbled upon it, because, we were walking by it at around 12 noon. I turned to my brothers and suggested we pray the Angelus. At the end of the Angelus, one of my brothers said: 'hey - isn't that the statue Dad told us about?!!!'. True enough - it was. You can read the story if you can see the pic of the plaque. Basically, years ago - a group of students brought the statue there as a small unknown shrine to Our Lady. Years later, when Imelda Marcos wanted the 'palace' built the workers tried to dynamite the rock. The fuses never set off. Upon investigation, they found the image of Our Lady there. Our Lady did not want to be moved! The rock even shows where the successive blasts cracked
the rock around, but never destroyed the statue. The discovery of the statue sparked a huge devotion to Our Lady that continues to this day. The statue is a copy of an image given as a gift by St. Josemaria Escriva to the University of Navarre in Pamplona, Spain. Our Lady of Fair Love - pray for us!
